Vic Joseph: ‘I’m Not Trying To Be Mauro Ranallo’

Speaking on the “Insight” podcast, Joseph told Chris Van Vliet that he isn’t trying to replicate the work Ranallo did on the gold brand. He said,

“I didn’t try to be Mauro, I didn’t try to give you a ‘mamma mia,’ I didn’t try to do his style, I have my own authentic way of doing things, and so me being me, I think drew the attention away from that, ‘Oh man, there’s a new announcer".

Ranallo was part of WWE from 2015 until August 2020, the same month that Joseph joined the WWE NXT commentary team which consisted of Joseph, Ranallo, and Beth Phoenix.

Ricky Starks and QT Marshall was actually with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas when Rhodes made his WWE return as well".
