CM Punk Internally Discussed As Potential Opponent For KENTA At Forbidden Door

It seems like a match between CM Punk and KENTA is potentially in the cards for Forbidden Door later this month.

According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), the current working plan is for New Japan STRONG Openweight Champion KENTA to work the Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 25.

As for his opponent, Sapp reports that CM Punk is being discussed as KENTA’s potential opponent, but it has yet to be confirmed that this match will take place.

AEW Wrestler Announces Departure

 BY: RYAN  Fuego Del Sol is no longer under contract with AEW. Del Sol made regular appearances on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation during the COVID-19 pandemic. He went on a 34-match losing streak, which was broken on July 6, 2021, in a tag team match when he and Marko Stunt defeated Ryzin and Baron Black.
