Trinity Explains Why She Walked Out Of WWE: Everything Kind Of Broke Me That Day

Trinity officially makes her IMPACT Wrestling debut Thursday night on AXS TV.

The former Naomi was a recent guest on Busted Open Radio with Dave LaGreca, Tommy Dreamer, and Mickie James to discuss a wide variety of subjects. When asked about her decision to sign with IMPACT Wrestling, Trinity said doors were open for her everywhere but feels like IMPACT is the best place for her right now.

Trinity Fatu Say: “Absolutely, which is why I chose and wanted to be at IMPACT. The doors are open for me everywhere, literally everywhere,” Trinity said. “But I truly feel like IMPACT is the best choice for me at this point in my life right now with what I want to do and to just be able to work with the talent there.

“I feel that it’s where I’ll be happiest and most utilized and really get to grow in the ways that I feel that I need to right now on this wrestling journey. Had all of this stuff never happened, there’s no way I would have taken that leap. But the situation kind of forced me to figure it out. That’s what I meant when I say everything was like a blessing in disguise because I was really going through a lot, and it felt very stagnant, and I wasn’t happy.”

Trinity also touched upon her WWE exit last May when she and Mercedes Moné (Sasha Banks) walked out of the company.

“Ultimately, I left that day because of the way I was talked to and handled, and everything kind of just broke me that day,” Trinity admitted. “Had nothing to do with anything else, anybody else. But that was just it. I had to. And yeah, just to go through all the backlash and the negativity and the lies and the rumors and then to also kind of just feel lost. Really, it broke me.It was probably the lowest I’ve ever felt in my life, but going through that, it made me reset and face it head-on and figure out how to learn from this experience, grow from it and yeah, just find myself again in all of it. So I’m extremely happy now. I’m really thankful for this opportunity to kind of show that you haven’t seen me at my best yet.”

Miro Defeats Tony Nese on AEW Collision

 BY: RYAN  Tonight's debut episode of AEW Collision featured the return of a former AEW TNT Champion, as "The Redeemer" Miro picked up a very impressive victory over Tony Nese, finishing Nese off with his Camel Clutch submission hold. Winner: Miro  The bell sounds and we're officially off-and-running with one-on-one action between Miro and Tony Nese. Straight out of the gate Miro bum-rushes and rag-dolls "The Premier Athlete" all over the place. Just as Miro is about to finish off Nese, we see "Smart" Mark Sterling hop on the ring apron and provide a distraction. This allows Nese to try a sneak attack from behind. Unfortunately for him even that extra assist from the outside isn't enough to stop Miro, as "The Redeemer" brushes his offensive attempts off and gets back to Donkey Kong'ing him all over the ring.
