More Details On WWE’s Reported Hiring Freeze

WWE has been reported to have a hiring freeze right now, and a new report has more details on it. It was reported earlier this month by Fightful that there has been a freeze on signing new talent.

Fightful Select reports that WWE higher-ups have reiterated that an effective freeze on new hires has been in place since January. The report notes that Nick Aldis was told that WWE was interested in him but that there were no main roster hires being made amid the company’s corporate moves.

List of names that WWE had interest in put didn't land them because of a hiring freeze or just didn't land them 

- Jay White, Naomi, Hikuleo, Tama Tonga, Nick Aldis, EJ Nduka,

One WWE higher up thinks the sale progresssion had something to do with it.

AEW Wrestler Announces Departure

 BY: RYAN  Fuego Del Sol is no longer under contract with AEW. Del Sol made regular appearances on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation during the COVID-19 pandemic. He went on a 34-match losing streak, which was broken on July 6, 2021, in a tag team match when he and Marko Stunt defeated Ryzin and Baron Black. Ricky Starks Accompanied Cody Rhodes To WrestleMania 38 Return

BY: Ryan  AEW Star Ricky Starks was at WWE Royal Rumble 2023 this past weekend, accompanying Cody Rhodes backstage ahead of the American Nightmare triumph in the titular men's match. Ricky Starks attendence was revealed when a leaked still from a security camera started going around online. Both Fightful Select and PWInsider has Confirmed Ricky Starks and Cody Rhodes are extremely close friends and Ricky Starks has accompanied Cody Rhodes to previous WWE event. "  There was some internet surprise to AEW Ricky Starks being in attendance at the Royal Rumble with Cody Rhodes as a photo popped up online. The two are extremely close. Ricky Starks and QT Marshall was actually with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas when Rhodes made his WWE return as well".
